Privacy Policy for Doom Stack

Dirk Florence ("we," "us," or "our") operates the mobile game Doom Stack (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the App. Please read this policy carefully.
1. Important Notice — Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Doom Stack is designed for a general audience but may be used by, or is directed to, children under the age of 13. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's Kids Category guidelines. Accordingly:
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is strictly necessary for the App to function (e.g., an anonymous device/player identifier for saving progress).
We do not serve behaviorally targeted advertising to users identified as children, and we configure our ad and analytics partners to operate in a child-directed / limited-data mode for those users.
We do not require account creation, email, or real names to play. Any optional sign-in features are intended for adult/general users and are not required for core gameplay.
We do not enable open chat, messaging, or user-generated content sharing features that could expose children to strangers.
If we later learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in a manner inconsistent with COPPA, we will delete that information promptly.
Parents and guardians: if you believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at dirkaxeman@gmail.com and we will investigate and delete it as appropriate.
2. Information We Collect
a) Information Collected Automatically
Device and usage data: device type, operating system version, unique device/advertising identifiers, app version, crash logs, session length, gameplay events, and general performance data.
Approximate location (if provided by your device/OS, generally derived from IP address) — used only for regional analytics, not precise tracking.
b) Information You Provide (Optional)
Account information, if you choose to sign in (e.g., via Apple's Sign in with Apple or Game Center): a display name/alias and an anonymized account identifier.
Leaderboard data: your chosen display name and scores, submitted voluntarily to compare progress with other players via Game Center or our leaderboard service.
Purchase information: if you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple's App Store; we receive confirmation of the purchase and product purchased, but we do not receive or store your payment card details.
c) Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your precise GPS location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data unless a specific feature explicitly requests that permission and you grant it.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
Operate, maintain, and improve the App's gameplay and performance
Save your progress, scores, and settings
Display leaderboards and rankings
Process in-app purchases through Apple's App Store
Diagnose crashes and technical issues
Analyze aggregate usage trends (e.g., which levels are most played)
Show advertisements (in a manner appropriate to the user's age, per Section 1)
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information.

We do not share information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain gameplay and account data for as long as your account/progress is active, or as needed to provide the App's features. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Request deletion of your data
Opt out of personalized/behavioral advertising (via your device's Settings → Privacy → Tracking, or Ad Settings)
Restrict certain data processing

If you use the App outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above, and where required, we will provide additional notice (e.g., an in-app notification).
